Born in 1988 in Hampton, Virginia, Norvel Edwards was immersed in music from an early age. His artistic foundation was shaped in the early 90s—hearing The Chronic playing at his parents’ home, while also being grounded in the powerful sounds of classic gospel groups like the Slim and the Supreme Angels at his grandparents’ house.

That contrast—raw expression and spiritual depth—became the blueprint for his creative identity.

After graduating from Heritage High School, Norvel went on to attend Norfolk State University, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology in 2013. He began his professional career as a community-based counselor in Norfolk, Virginia, where he recognized a consistent pattern: many people were being held back by negative self-talk and limiting beliefs.

That realization became the foundation of his life’s work.

Today, as both an artist and creative visionary, Norvel channels that understanding into Rap Arrangement—a movement built on the belief that music is more than entertainment; it is energy, intention, and influence.
